While searching on the web for pictures of Shelby during his race driving career, came across this shot of Jan Harrison who was his wife briefly. I used to watch Sea Hunt, where she frequently guest starred, but don't think at that time I remembered female actresses like I did later after I noticed there was this other race called women...
Sea Hunt used to be my favorite program. On the site it even mentions she was Shelby's wife. I wish they had that great picture of her and Shelby leaning on a Maserati but instead they have some movie still. Anyhow here's the site but you have to go to it to see her picture. I think she is the wife he doesn't count in his grand total because he married and divorced her in Mexico. If anyone has a glossy of her standing with Shelby the Maserati Edgar owned, or any shots of Shelby as a race driver '54-'60 please send me an e-mail. Thanks, Photojournalistpro@hotmail.com http://home.houston.rr.com/thescubag...uestStars.html Jan Harrison Alison Garrett, "Fort Bowie" (1958) Once married to Carroll Shelby (developer of the Ford Mustang Shelby and Cobra), Harrison appeared in Stag and Sir magazines in the late 1950's. She appeared more times that any other credited actress on SEA HUNT. Harrison would come back in 1964 making her last television appearance playing Joanna on Ivan Tor's "Flipper" (1964-68). Harrison was born in Peterson’s Landing Washington in the early 20's. A former "Miss Washington State", she was disqualified from competing in the "Miss America" pageant because she had been secretly married.
