Just courious to see who has Joined "Team Shelby". I joined Today. Dont worry, I am still a Member of SAAC, MCA and the new MUSTANG SYNDICATE.

While the activity in the associated threads has been hot & heavy - down here on the ground I will deal with whatever the powers-that-be work out (like there's an alternative!)

From a selfish standpoint I look forward to another source of information & *stuff* that's Shelby related. I consider it similar to having more than one subscription to a Mustang or Hot Rod type magazine. Like David said, it does NOT mean I have to give up my SAAC or MCA affiliations.

From what I understand, January is just the Date for the NEW Web Site. "Team Shelby" is the Club not "Stangs Unleashed".

The legendary Carroll Shelby is creating a new community for enthusiasts of the cars built by his companies. Based in Dearborn, Michigan, “Team Shelby,” is the only club officially recognized by the factory for all vehicles built by Shelby, including 2006 and newer Shelby based Mustangs. The club will officially launch on January 11, 2008, which is Mr. Shelby's 85th birthday.

I just joined as well...I'm just curious at this point so we'll give them a try for a year. I will definitely continue my SAAC membership.

Just a couple of notes:

The number that you get is not the Team Shelby Member # that is the number you are no the Forums. You do not have to be a Team Shelby member to enjoy the forums. Your Team Shelby member will come with your member cards.

Please allow 3-5 weeks to get your member package.

You will get a welcome letter, sometimes they take a couple of days.

Please keep an eye on your e-mail because we will be announcing the Carroll's Shelby Birthday Bash details soon.

Sharon, I share Ron's thoughts word for word and can only hope you become a regular. I am certain a "Team Shelby" section will be provided here as we have sections for all SHELBY Clubs. be they Real or imagined. - Dave
