Re: What SAAC conventions have you attended?
I was at SAAC 28 and they did treat Mustang owners equal and took a big pic of the 67 GT350 owners.
This is not the official pic (which I have on the wall) but a "panoramic" from my own pics.

I remember it was SAAC 15, it was the one which the track event was in Lexington, Ohio and the show in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I enjoyed the track time at Mid-Ohio but I just can not seem to make it the others. Last year I showed up on Sunday (I live 20 minutes form M.I.S.) in a down pour, just in time to watch everyone loading up and leaving.

Re: What SAAC conventions have you attended?
They are all fun. The Las Vegas ones in February are a good excuse to get out of the cold and even OPEN track too! Come on out you east coasters!

Re: What SAAC conventions have you attended?
After moving to the US in 1987, I attended the following
SAAC conventions: Santa Rosa, CA 1988 Pocono, PA 1989 Dearborn, MI 1990 Upstate NY, NY 1991? Portland, OR 1992 Since then I have not been able to attend as I go to Sweden from mid June to beginning of July every year and attend the Swedish Club of American Ford's convention driving my Shelby 67. Hopefully I can attend another SAAC convention in the future. Texas Swede |

Re: What SAAC conventions have you attended?
SAAC 30 - a bunch of about 10 Kiwis from downunder trekked the 11hrs in a 747 to L.A and then another 2 1/2 hours in a big blue taxi to Fontana Calif. We had the best time ever. It was beyond belief to see that many shelby's in one place -especially when there are only 25-30 throughout all of NZ. We all got to walk back from the convention centre to the hotel one night with Carroll and his wife - and yes we all shook his hand.......was not going to come 12000 miles and miss that oppourtunity. I was also offered a ride in a 427cobra SC (IN THE BAR) but couldn't find him at the track so that's why we are coming back for SAAC33 at L.A. cheers.

Re: What SAAC conventions have you attended?
Hi David, glad you found the site. I will be helping Dale at Shelby on the Rallies both Friday and Saturday, and the Car Show on Fremont Street Saturday Night. Let me know what I can do to help on your run to Las Vegas. I will get some pictures of SAAC 10 and post them.

Re: What SAAC conventions have you attended?
Being from TX, I really don't want to go that far to either coast for a convention. However, I've attended the Mid-America in Tulsa at least 12 times. Lots of people at the Tulsa event say they have more track time versus the Nat'l meet. We have three days of Hallett road course. And for prizes at the dinner....well, if you don't win something, you didn't buy a ticket. LOL, well almost that way. They are very generous about giving prizes.
If you haven't been, then this is an invite....I promise you'll enjoy. Not sure of the dates this year, but it'll be held in mid to late June, beginning on a Wed and lasting with a car show on Sunday.

Re: What SAAC conventions have you attended?
I can't remember all of the numbers but I have been to the last two in Charlotte, Lime Rock, and the last two in Michigan at the MIS. Lot's of fun. I drove my old 68 GT350 vert to SAAC 29. My buddy and I went and it was a blast driving the Shelby everywhere! : up:
