Recent Russo and Steele Auction

Hello. Did anyone look at the 1968 Shelby GT500KR at the Hollywood Florida R&S auction that was a no sale at $145,000? Highlander Green and Black...

Would that be Sean Connery Green?

Wasn't Christopher Lambert "the Highlander"?

Yes, you are correct Lambert was the Highlander. However, kudos for the first comment on topicality. What I am trying to find out is was that car really a condition #1 as reported by Sports Car Market.

Re: Recent Russo and Steele Auction

I saw that car listed in Sports Car Market and thought to myself, "There can be only one Highlander!"

The correct name of the color is Highland Green, which is why everyone is having so much fun at this thread's expense. I checked Russo and Steele's website and they've stopped listing the no-sales, which is unfortunate because a full description and pictures of the car are not available there. If you could track down the Russo and Steele catalog for that event (it must be available somewhere on the internet) and post the description and pictures of the car, I'm sure you could get an honest answer to your question.

Thanks... They said they'd send me the catalog. I told them they should also list no sales and they said they'd consider doing it again. I think if enough people tell them that we'd like it they'll listen. Maybe I should use the name Highlander from here on out.
