67' Autolite shocks?
Hello all,
I'm new to this site, first time posting here. I have a question for all of you about 67' Mustang shocks. My father is restoring a 67' K-code mustang with competition suspension. This car I've been told had the same Autolite/Gabriel 3-way adjustable shocks as the Shelbys. I've got the original shocks, the question is can they be rebuilt? Or does anyone know if these are being remade? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: 67' Autolite shocks?
Unfortunately they can't be rebuilt from what I've seen. There are some people that report that they have had standard Ford shocks rebuilt but I believe thie was a bushing replacement and a paint job.
As Tim mentioned the Gabriel Stryders are a pretty good replacement but they stopped making them about 10+ years ago and even they are bringing hundreds of dollars. Hot my last front pair out of a defective/returns bin at a local Mustang shop.
