Re: Sunbeam Tigers - Who's got one?

Currently, I have a couple Tigers - a Mk I and Mk II.

The Mk I was for the most part restored to stock form, but was originally Moonstone (white) in color - I plan to repaint car to its original white color.

The Mk II has several LAT options such as the wheels, traction bars, and intake manifold. Engine has been modified - lots of power and a blast to drive.

Thanks for the interest. Dan

This is our 1966 Rootes Sunbeam Tiger Mk1A. "Mildly" modified from stock, it is street driven as often as possible. We do take it on track occationally. In the mid 1980's Barry Schonberger raced this Tiger to several SCCA SOLO II regional and national championships! Barry now races a tube frame Tiger in the SCCA GT2 class.

Re: Sunbeam Tigers - Who's got one?

I have 2.5 Tigers. 67 Mark1A, 66 Mark1A (vintage racer) and a 66 Mark1A parts car. I almost forgot a 66 Alpine parts car (crash parts for vintage racer). The race car was raced in Florida and Maryland between the late 60s and early 80s. I want to bring it back to its original glory.

Also, thanks for adding the Tiger forum..

jfrails - Pictures certainly tell the story of a clean restoration. Nice silver Tiger.

Dan,

Yes, the silver Tiger took almosy a year to complete and has also been TAC'd by TE/AE inspectors. The blue racer is one of Dale A's creations.

Re: Sunbeam Tigers - Who's got one?

I have owned a 1966 Right Hand Drive Tiger since 1988, I am the 5th owner it has spent most of it life overseas, around Edinburg, all the previous owners were either Royal Air Force or Navy and all kept excellent records of the car I have full documentation of this car back to its original owner, the car is midnight -blue,it has the tonnuea cover and the lift-off hardtop, I also own 3 Alpines all 1966's The RHD was kind of odd for Snakeman to drive for a while.
