Hello from Lake Tahoe

It has been 35 years since I first fell in love with Shelby's cars. I had always said that some day I would own one. As I got older and Shelby prices began to rise, I saw my dream slipping away. The GT500 came out and I thougt "maybe", but then I saw how much Ford dealers were adding to the prices and once again, no go.

Then last March I happened into a Ford dealer in Reno and saw my first Shelby GT sitting on the floor. I thought, wow a real Shelby actually transformed in Shelby's workshop, just like the original ones..

Well a month and a half of searching and comparing, I found a dealer, Folsom Lake Ford in Sacramento that was willing to not become rich on the dealer mark up, so viola I am a Shelby owner.

Since I have got it I have added sequential tail lights, lower grille/ light and brake duct holes and I am in the process of Supercharging it.

This car is the culmination of many years of dreaming and it does bring me back many years each time I turn the key.

I look forward to many posts and being able to use the vast amount of knowledge contained in this forum.

Russ
