Great to find fellow fossil fuel addicts! I have a 67 GT 350, GT 500, Superformance Cobra with a '67 427 side oiler and when I feel the dark side take over, an '05 Lotus Elise. The GT 350 is in 1- condition while the GT 500 (inboards, functional scoops, 4speed) needs some work. Can anyone recommend a shop out Sacramento way to trust the GT 500 restoration to? Thanks for any thoughts!

Welcome to Shelby Forums Thomas! Many members have had restoration work done by various people across the country. Hopefully someone can point you in the right direction. What kind of work are you expecting for the GT500? What condition is it in now?
Randall

Thomasps, I live near Sacramento, and was recently looking around for someone to do body/mechanical work on my 66. Unfortunately, a kitchen remodel project derailed that for awhile . But I decided on, and will eventually take it to Kevin Sittner at Precision Machines in Lodi (209-369-2600). He races an amazingly fast 68 GT-350, and I believe did a lot of work for Total Control. Very knowledgeable, knows Fords inside and out, and real nice guy! Ken.

6s524:

Thanks for the insights; I will give Kevin a call and follow up. I even gave thought to taking my car to Corvette Care in Rancho Cordova. I figure they would have the perspectives on taking a car back to concours stock. Thanks again.

Tom
