Hello

Hello : My name is Jeff Price, I live in Holland, Michigan. Home of the Tulip Time Festival.
I bought my 68 Shelby GT 500 Convert. in 1978. As far as I know, I am the 2nd owner. She was built on Feb. 28th, 1968. I have many questions to ask, and hopefully many questions I can answer. I do know, that I am very happy to be among the few people, that own such an awesome car as the Shelby GT 350-500. Thank-You for allowing me to be a member of Shelby Family. She has 52,000 original miles on her, and I haven't driven my Sweetheart, since 1985, but I hope to have the privilege to run her down the road by mid summer. Got married, we had twins, added on to the house, etc. I finally decided, it was time to dress her up, and take out on the road! I want to make sure she is as close to original as possible.
It took me too long to navigate this forum, to post a new "thread", so I hope I got 'er done correctly, and Thanks again for allowing me into your Family. I Welcome hints, suggestions, and of course, opinions on how to make my Sweetheart the best she can be !! I hope to hear from the rest of the new Family soon. Jeff Price raceri69 jdp@wmol.com

Wow, it's great to hear you are getting her back on the road! Keep us informed on the progress and try to show us some photos when you have a chance.

Welcome aboard Jeff

If you need somebody to take a ride with you this summer, let me know. I am just down the road from you in Grandville, MI. You will find that this is an awesome web site with a lot of great "attendees" and information.

Re: raceri69

Make sure you contact the 68 registrar to update your car's information for the new registry. It's due later this year or next year. Don't wait.

Re: raceri69

Hello To All That Responded to my Posting. If anyone out there, knows the difference between the early 68 GT 500, and the GT 500 KR, I want to buy original gas cap. Is the KR different than the early model ?? If so, what other things do I need to look for in the early, February built cars, compared to later 68 GT 500 ?? PLMK. Thanks again for the wonderful welcome.I look forward to meeting all in the group soon. Jeff Price. raceri69 I welcome emails also. jdp@wmol.com
