Old original GT 500 & GT350 Owner

Hi everyone Let me Introduce myself I'm Denny Klein. In 1966 I bought a 67 289 red convertible. I put gt kit on it. I kept it till may 67 & traded it for a lime green GT500 4speed with 5 spoke Kelsey Hays wheels. Sad to say, I was reckless. I totaled it on Haloween 1967 with no insurance!!! 'Til this day i regret doing it but it probaly saved my life. I still have the title & will post the serial#. In 1970 i bought a 67GT350 with a blown motor ,rod through the side of the motor. Being a mechanic I went crazy for a boss 302 motor, which i regret because in hindsite, I should have put a 427 low riser in it but that is another story . After lots of work I sold it for a 67 GT500 & 5 grand so I took it on my Honeymoon & sold it. Every day since then i have wanted a 427 GT 500. I work for Cadillac & Had a fallout with Ford in 74 & swore I'd never buy another Ford. Well Never say Never. I will buy a 2007 GT500. I hope to Meet Carol Shelby to tell him My Story.

ps If the Owner of my GT 350/Boss302 is around I'd love to BS About it

That's quite a history. I hope the current owner of the GT 350/Boss302 surfaces. You never know! Welcome to the community.

Re: Old original GT 500 & GT350 Owner

Does Caroll Shelby read these posts? I Have a brain storm in that I want him to autograph my wrecked 67 GT 500 title & say "better luck in 2007 with a new one".

PS the new car needs 10 spoke wheels ,& 20" tires, active suspension, side scoops & center mount fog HID lights ala 67 early GT500 with marker lights in the Scoops & LED Wide Tail lights & 500 HP. Maybe a GT500KR.
In 67 the the only cars faster were 427-435hp Vettes. Camaros 427/390 hp were even & 396 Camaros were slower. The Hemis were in big body cars & slower than my GT500. IF you want some real wild stories, reach me at Yahoo messenger mrbigdog199. I know a lot about Fords of the 60's.

Carroll does not read these posts but you can catch him for an autograph if you attend one of the numerous events he goes to nationwide. He still travels all the time and signs a ton of autographs.
