When will the information be up on the Team Shelby sub forum?
I'll be visiting in Minneapolis at that time and would crawl over hot coals to visit that reunion.

I am not a Shelby owner yet, but will be working on becoming one when I'm Stateside.

Has anyone noticed Team Shelby bough the www.SAACFORUMS.com url. If you got to www.saacforum.com, it's the newer SAAC forum. If you go to Plural www.saacforums.com, it's team shelby.

I was perusing the Team Shelby forums and apparently due to clashing events, the meeting is now tentatively for late August. Damn!!
I'll be at Pebble Beach 17th August and then on my way back to OZ.
Oh well, maybe next year.

More than interesting, it's a sleazy way to capture traffic as a result of a poor user's typo. Sleazy.
I didn't think that's what Shelby Autos was paying the company to run their website for.

It would be like me buying the domain name www.shelbyforum.com and redirecting the traffic to the SAAC site. that would truly be a "no class" move. as soon as Amy saw it she said she chuckled. but she did nothing about changing it. this type of behavour demonstrates the type of individuals standing in the way of brokering peace. for it is not peace they seek. they want the whole thing. hindsight is always 20-20. looking back over the last 100 days or so, SAAC has fast Forwarded in ways most never thought possible. in all reality, the "shake up" at SAAC has forced things in the right direction and that is the positive side of what has occurred. people being forced to take sides is not what a Hobby should be about but it happened. and it is a part of Shelby and SAAC history that will be a footnote for one and possibly the final chapter for the other. and that in reality is the scariest thought of all.

I don't think it would amount to much traffic really. It's not something that should keep anyone awake at night. shelbyforum.com was owned before I bought shelbyforums.com. That didn't stop me from buying the domain and creating this site with such a similar name. Sites will stand on their own merit. The domain name is just an address. Some companies buy every domain that comes close to their own in order to protect their site. That could be an expensive endeavor but if you don't, it can lead to situations like this. I chose not to and from purely a "visitor/traffic" standpoint, I have no worries. Sure, similar domain names can lead to a typo here or there that end up being redirected elsewhere but if a site has a solid reputation, I think the site will stand on its own and be fine. If it's just a typo driven "traffic" issue, it's not worth worrying about. On the other hand, if someone buys a similar name and has some sort of malicious intent, that could be pretty sleazy, and would be cause for concern. Just my opinion.

Yeah really, so about the show. I plan on going. For anyone that hasn't been to the Woodward Dream Cruise this would be the time to go as events take place all week after the KR reunion.

Agreed and came to the same conclusions over time. so I guess the real Question is, Who is buying a new KR and going to the reuniuon as well???? maybe someone who already has at least vintage 1 KR possibly?

Bummer, that's a long way to travel. Would have been nice to fit in your schedule. How often do you fly to the US?

Hi Randall,

This upcoming trip is my first since 1993 when I spent most of my time in Florida. My wife's son has taken a position with Pearson and has bought a house in Minneapolis so I guess we'll be coming over on an annual basis.

We'll be in Minneapolis from about 15th July and then flying to San Fran in 2nd week of August to catch Pebble Beach. Friends are picking us up there and driving us up to Fortuna CA to stay with them for 2 or 3 days, then back home to the Gold Coast in Queensland.

I'd love to catch a Shelby or plain Mustang owners show/meet somewhere along the way, but might have to settle for the Nascar meeting at the brickyard on July 27th.
