Carroll Shelby Birthday Bash Event

Hello,

I just wanted to let everyone know about Carroll Shelby Birthday Bash Event that is happening on January 11th. This will be a 3 Day event packeted with events.

I wanted everyone that was interested to have the opportunity to purchase these tickets.

This will be a limited event celebrating Carroll's Birthday with Carroll. This will be a once in a lifetime event.

There are a few things that you should know the tickets will be a limited number and will be opened to Team Shelby Club members first.
We have not announced yet how many tickets or the price that will be announced later tonight. These tickets will be first come first serve.

You will have to be registered on the site to be able to get into the area where you can purchase the tickets. Please feel free to contact me we are happy to help.

This event is not our National event that will be held this year in Oklahoma.

This is a special opportunity for Team members, We will also be doing a smaller show in Dearborn next year.

Ok as promised here are a few more detail of what the weekend will include.

I am sorry I will announce tomorrow towards the evening the price and the number of tickets that will be available for Purchase.

But here is a ruff outline of what is going to be included in this Shelby Run. ALL DATES AND TIMES ARE TENTITAVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

It will start off on January 11th in the Morning in LA and a Shelby Run to SAI. (9-4) I do not have more details than this more tomorrow of exactly where the run will start. you will run your cars from LA to SAI, you must have a Car to participate in this part.

January 11th (5pm-8pm)Then there will be the launch party of New 2008 GT500KR, you will be able to see the first one roll off the line with Carroll Shelby there to receive this car. After the Launch Party there will be a Birthday Dinner at Shelby Auto's to Celebrate Carroll's 85 Birthday.

January 12th (9:00am to 5pm)All day event on Saturday at Shelby Autos, including track usage, facility tours, car show, & Carroll Shelby will be at some of these events.

January 12th Party on Saturday night at Casino (location & time TBD).

Gift bag with exclusive 85th commemorative merchandise

January 13th Breakfast at Shelby Autos on Sunday (8:00am to ?).TBD

Also included in this package is Two-night Hotel accommodations (Fri, Sat). Place TBD


These are some detail, Price and numbers should be announced tomorrow. These Tickets should go on Sale on Monday so please for those of you that are interested, you must be a Team Shelby Member, these will go fast and are first come first serve.

Ok here is some more information

There will be 100 tickets that go up for sale on Monday the tickets for the three days including two hotel nights and track and car show and two parties are 699.99 per one Ticket that includes two people.

Count me out. I wanted to attend and my SuperSnake is in Vegas so it would have been perfect but in light of the attempt by Shelby to Trademark SAAC and what appears to be a attempt to destroy SAAC I can't see myself doing anything that has to do with Shelby's new ventures. What should be great times in Shelby history appears to be bad times with ugly legal fights ahead where everyone loses. I hope fences can be mended but I am starting to doubt it.

I am sorry to hear that, I know nothing about the legal issues with Saac, what i know is that I am here to make Team Shelby I fun and great place to be, this event will be a wonderful event, for everyone that attends.

Maybe we will see you at one of the other events in the future, We are also doing OK and Dearborn in 2008 and last years Dearborn was a great time,.


Is your Super Snake being done at SAI, I just love the look of the Super Snake, maybe when I am there I can get a look at it for you. Maybe a photo.....

We will be getting the KR and will be taking it to some of the Team Shelby shows as a Show car, I would really like to up it to th 725 and some of the other options that come with the Super Snake,

I want the Vapor ( silver) with blue stripes.

The question is do you leave the KR original or do you upgrade it to the Super Snake, certainly would be few around like that.

This is my debate, not one I can say that i hate having.

Bob Gaines had convinced me at SEMA to come to the Oklahoma event but it is right at the end of Hot Rod Power Tour and another show in Detroit I have already committed to. Maybe next year in Oklahoma.

With all the crap thats unfolding on a daily basis between SAAC, Shelby and Team Shelby, My wife and I decided to pass. I'm a huge SHELBY fan BUT, I can't seem to get this bad taste out of my mouth with whats being done to SAAC. Without SAAC's help, I wouldn't have the Shelby I have in my garage today. Sorry.

Sharon...I wish you luck but I sit and wonder if any of the money raised by your event will be used in the legal battle against SAAC. I will be donating to SAAC's legal fund and now I'm wondering if my membership money in the new club is also going to be used against SAAC. You are caught in the middle. This sucks.
