Experience the Thrill of driving your Shelby, Mustang, Cobra or Ford powered vehicle on Texas Motor Speedway’s combination NASCAR oval and in-field road course in October. The Shelby Cobra Association of Texas officially invites you to the “27th Shelby Texas Nationals” set for October 28. 29 & 30th. Our event starts with a Thursday Hospitality night at Texas Motor Speedway then features one full day of track on Friday the 29th and a Ford Powered Car Show on Saturday the 30th. We are teaming with the Texas Driving Experience to offer everyone the chance of speeding their car around the high banked NASCAR track combined with the tight twisting in-field road course. The Texas Driving Experience will coordinate the track and their driving school will be there to show everyone how to drive this exciting course.

SCAT is honored to host this year’s event and we plan a fun weekend for everyone. Vendors, swap meet and other activities are planned. Well, I hope everybody had a great time out at the SCAT 27th Shelby Texas Nationals! Unfortunately, I found myself stuck out in Athens, TX for business related issues and missed the whole event.

Oh well, I'm sure it was a tremendous success and they will soon have event pictures posted on the SCAT Website.
