North Texas Shelby Continuation Factory to Host Second Annual High Performance Vehicle Event; Celebs to Make Unique PerformanceFest Larger than Ever

DALLAS--Oct. 6, 2004--Texas legend Carroll Shelby and internationally renowned designer Chip Foose will be part of Unique PerformanceFest 2004, a spectacular vehicle show on October 16, 2004, in Farmers Branch. Classics, new cars and motorcycles will compete for prizes next to racing displays at the North Texas Shelby Continuation Car Factory. Unique Performance builds Shelby continuation cars based on vintage Ford Mustangs in their Farmers Branch facility located at 13950 Senlac Drive.

"We're pleased that two of the most important personalities in the high performance world will be part of this exciting show," said Unique Performance President Douglas Hasty. "Unique PerformanceFest will feature every make imaginable, from classic Mustangs and Corvettes to new Aston Martins and Vipers. Motorcycles, trucks, street rods - every type of motorized toy will be on display."

Legendary automobile creator Carroll Shelby and popular designer Chip Foose will headline the festivities. Both will sign autographs and Foose's TV show on The Learning Channel, Overhaulin', will be on hand to film. Champion NHRA driver Mike Ashley will be present with the G.T.500E "Eleanor" drag car as well.

Unique PerformanceFest 2004 will be held from 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission to the public is free. Classes are planned for all makes and models of vintage and contemporary performance vehicles with a portion of the registration fee benefiting the Carroll Shelby Children's Foundation.
