Bob Gaines----I am very aware of when the aluminum 427 blocks became available. I had been racing 427 Fords since 1963. Actually the Shelby block was the first aluminum one available in 1997. Long before Pond or Genesis. I just wanted this fellow to know that there is a real 1967 GT 500 with a Shelby aluminum block. It also has the Shelby stage11 medium riser heads.
