Unique Performance had authorization to deliver 75 Super Snakes with 427FE Shelby aluminum Blocks. I have heard (and hearsay is only what it is worth) that only 14 were built. I think you are right, the ONLY true 1967 Shelby Super Snake had a side oiler, but it was a cast iron block. To my knowledge, there was never an aluminum block. And the block was not built by Carroll. Mine is.
I will never think that my car is in the realm of the originals Shelby Mustangs. But it is different? Yes! Worth more? I don't know.
