Thanks for sharing your experience. I had exactly the same problems on my car, and the pleasure to grind my lakewood bellhousing too, one collector up, one down and an odd exaust line routing twisting around the x pipe.

I had the same problems on another mustang two weeks ago, I tried to install a set of headers made in nowhere land and was one inch from the H pipe... took a set of JBA and works like a dream. may be 500 $ more but in fact a 150$ full loss.

I will try to install them, I'm really fed up with the impact on the collector and the rusty aspect of the section even if the headers are (poorly) coated.

Anybody about the JBA side exhaust? just heard them yet on JBA site.
