Re: GT 350 exhaust question

I just completed my exhaust system on my 65 Mustang last night. I had used the common cheap Tri-Y's at first, but ran into a number of issues. Flange leaks, Pitman arm hitting on the tubes. Equalizer Bar hitting the header. The Collector rubbing the Bellhousing.

I bought a set of Dougs Tri-Y's ( Spin off from Doug Thorley Headers) after getting fed up over the Junk headers's I had installed.
They fit "GREAT". They easily clear the extended Pitman arm (quick steer kit). The Equalizer bar has plenty of clearance. The flange's are thicker. Even better, I've plenty of ground clearance. The collectors don't hang pass the frame rails.

Like you, I searched around for information and found very little about these headers in a real world situation.

I'm very pleased with mine.

Marty.
