King Cobra --what was the gearbox
I always thought it was a type 37 Colotti 4-speed as in the '64 Ford GT but a website I saw today by Chuck Brandt said the modified Cooper Monaco's had BMC-Huffaker transaxles. The same website later mentions McKee transaxles using Borg Warner T-10 innards. Any clue?
Also Chuck said there ended up being 8 King Cobras built, but I only remember the Shelby team fielding 3. Maybe they had others in reserve.
