I am not sure if it is a "legit" 1967 GT500 and would like some advice on what to look for and check.

Here is the website for the sale page, from the pictures and description it looks really good.

What are you thoughts?

This is NOT a shelby. This car is a dressed up 67 mustang made to look like an "Eleanor". "Eleanor" is a car designed and built as a movie car for the movie "Gone In Sixty Seconds" starring Nick Cage. In the movie the car was supposed to be a Shelby but was more of Hollywood's interpretation of what a Shelby could look like. The car was such a hit many people started copying and selling the kits to create an "Eleanor". One company, Unique Performance, was licensed by Shelby to create these cars. They are now either in jail or on the run in Mexico. So to answer your question this is NOT a Shelby just a 67 mustang with a body kit. Check Ebay i am sure you can find many of these cars for sale at a price, i think, competitive (i dont know the Aussy to America exchange rate) to this car.
