Hello! My name is matt. I'm 22 and live here in az. The reason I'm a new member is that my dad has a 69 Shelby GT500 that I am possibly going to satrt restoring. The car has a long history with him and my sister, his 1st marriage, etc. So the car has priceless sentimental value.
I am trying to learn more about it, because if I restore it (long story) I want to do it correctly. From time to time, I will probably ask silly questions, but point me in the right direction and I will forever be in debt to you!
As it sits, it has a 390BB in it. The original motor is still in our possesion, the water froze one winter and the block cracked along the top of the block. Its in very sad shape as of now...
The "not a honda" tag was addes since I am young and do drive/tune hondas and acuras. I posted pics on my forum, but did that to avoid thievery just in case.
My dad took off the original PS, exhaust and intake manifolds in the pursuit of more HP. Then, his landlord threw them away. Dammit...
Then, as the car sat thru the years, someone decided it necessary to steal the ram air cleaner setup off it. Again, dammit!
So I need to figure out what dats/codes I would be looking for in finding orginals, first off.
