Re: Important Shelby News out of SEMA
I believe Dalton/David is as usual, right on. Amy is now involved and definitely a force to be reckoned with. This is her test. If she is successful in straightening things out, she will certainly earn my respect.

Re: Important Shelby News out of SEMA
I emailed Rick and asked about the paperwork. Well he couldn't comment over it at this time only that the lawyers are wrangling over the word "gift". So I take that to mean that Shelby gave SAAC the paperwork and from past info from the club they had to do a lot of sifting through a lot of docs to get the invoices and such that we are aware of today. SAAC invested a lot of time and money to retrieve these documents and now Shelby wants them turned over to a new club that we do not know where they will be in 10 years let alone 5. I am not knocking them and am excited there is a new kid on the block on the national scene as it comes to Shelby cars.Lets see where this goes. Gary

Re: Important Shelby News out of SEMA
I don't think SAAC should send back all of the original documents. Why? how many times has a rebodied 1965-67 Shelby owner try to get the original Ford numbers from SAAC? Or maybe someone wanting to build a car off of a missing car by restamping a car? Won't ever happen and that protects all of us owners. Would the new club be as diligent? Or for a "fee" could you get all the information (read: Marti report but in a diff way) on your car or any Shelby including the Ford vin for a price? Would lost cars suddenly be coming out of the woodwork or "thin air"? As of now I only trust SAAC with the documents. They have proved to be diligent keepers of these docs. Gary

I think what scares me the most about all of this is where it will all end. If SAI wants to start a new club, then that is great. But wanting all of the records returned has got to raise the hairs on the back of your neck! Believe me folks, SAI is after that paperwork!! And if Kopec doesn't want to comment on it because of ongoing litigation, I'll say it again, BELIEVE ME FOLKS, SAI is after that paperwork.
And then, what is the domino effect. Are all the regions of SAAC next? If you have the word "SHELBY" on your letterhead are they coming after you and or your local club?? Did you notice how hostile their rep was on here the other night, then the next morning was all nicey- nice, wanting to work together , so we all come under one roof (THEIRS). Smoke and Mirrors are in vogue here to put us all to sleep until it is too late. Ford did it with all the vendors carrying the Mustang banner, now Shelby has followed suit. Be afraid my friend, they may be demanding a retro-active fee on that 1979 Shelby T-shirt you wear to swap meets. Note to Rick Kopec: change the name of your national club to: __Snakes Against Amy's Control __ .....that way you can keep your same initials.

GAry, if you read the early posts this is something Carroll initiated. With his licensing group, he is unhappy with how things run. yes, i knew about this, I am the one who told Bob, no I didnt see the letters and I didn't know about the documents. The licensing CSL, it has a president, theIroup is called CSL, It is in LA, I am SAI, I am in vegas. SAI is not involved in the license with SAAC. SAI is starting its own club for new cars we build, and welcoming vintage. I have been keeping the registry for all new cars since built. That was never with SAAc. If you want to blame me for this, go right ahead, I am here trying to repond. all the info that currently exists is now out there. As I have told others I will call Carroll and discuss this issue with him personally. But I will not be insulted but people on this site who can't communicate in an adult and civil manner Amy |

Re: Important Shelby News out of SEMA
Hi Amy,
I have a question. In many of your responses you have stated "dedicated to the new cars and welcoming the vintage." Why is this so? Why wouldnt it be dedicated to all cars Shelby? There have been none of these concerns put to rest as yet and this is where I feel the bad blood is coming from. If it wasnt for the vintage Shelby's, there would be no new cars (Shelbys). Heritage, history is everything. As you can see there is a strong passion behind the vintage Shelbys from their owners. As you know, they are valuable and from my own point of view I dont know of any other hobby where your passion is also an investment. (passion before investment) Can you please advise why it appears that Team Shelby are only interested in the new cars? If I'm reading between your lines, if Team Shelby did not ask for the old paperwork (another entity has) this entity will be taking on the vintage cars? Regards Rohan

Re: Important Shelby News out of SEMA
rohan, I sent you long response via email I am in the car.
the team Shelby club is for all Shelby owners and enthusiasts. The registry is geared to new and welcomes the vintage. It is hard to keep explaining in posts |

Ladies and Gentlemen, Attacking AMY with question after question that she has repeatedly answered to the best of her ability is pointless. she has already stated her official position that SHE and SAI did not and do not have control over "Carroll Shelby Licensing". I have also stated that Amy and VIP's at SAAC are working towards some type of resolution. be patient. go watch a Football game or better yet, Drive your Shelby somewhere and have a nice day. I assure you that Amy is not a Villain and I will start deleting posts that are negative and counterproductive to this resolution coming about.- Dave
