Barrett Jackson has what they call "Salon cars", a group of reserve cars. They were numbered 5000 lot. Everything else was no reserve. Consigners can drop the reserve if they wish to off the car, generate some more interest or the bidding is close enough to the reserve. The other funny thing, Steve was out in the bidder field bidding on Clark Gables mercedes... Without a bidders pass.....
As far as the fantasy bids, that is not related to Barrett. Just a game Haggerty insurance sponsors for speed channel.
All in all, another entertaining year.
Bill could have been very easily refering to the various times that bids (fantesy=shill ?) were taken on high end cars but the speed cameras for some reason couldn't seem to find the bidders like they did when the bat mobile and other high end cars had bidders who ended up with cars. The green hornet was a case in point. 300,000 seemed to be real money and from there on milked for a lonnnnng time but no camera on bidder or bidders?????? hmmmmmmm
