Prices do seem a little soft for the Shelby's. It will be interesting to see the final bid on the Green Hornet and Stephen Becker's 1967 GT500. I think both of those will do well.

Watching the Barrett Jackson debacle and all the ego one upping. I am surprised by the hammer price of nice driver quality 500's. Continuation / replicas have been at or above original cars. It is my humble observation that prices have softened a bit.
The car to sell is a custom 50's vette or custom 60's camaro....
Have you also noticed the vast amount of one off shelby's? Seems the market for these has been diluted. I watched the blue Shelby dedication gt500 hit 200k and the COPO convt brings 50k more. Both very nice but i thought the Shelby camp had a stronger following.
Again, I am a bit biased, but I was expecting some stronger hammer prices.
PS green hornet and 9k mile 67 have not crossed yet. Fingers crossed!

My brother was on stage for the sale of the tribute GT500, benefitting the JDRF. I'll ask him what his thoughts were regarding the hype around the car. I thought it would definitely fetch more than $200,000!

I think it was well bought.![]()
the tribute car, green hornet and for what it was, Mr. Beckers 500 were beautiful cars. I was really pulling for Beckers car, hope he is satisfied. I think the EXP was about right, given how the crowd was a little thrifty this year. I thought for sure Mr Pratt would have bought it.
Some surprises this year.

I think the Green Hornet overshot it's value but that's just my opinion.
Randall,
Note for future reference, after that $300,000 bid there was no cameras on the highest bidders making any bids past that time suspect. 2M was the reserve according to sources close to Mr Jackson. You as the viewer can come up with your own conclusion(s).

I think he was looking for that 1.8m for it. I think Mr. Jackson was hoping it was worth more IMVHO..How do you place a value on such a unique car? Test the market by seeing what is bid. I thought 1m would by it in my very humble opinion.
I missed the blue 67. That is a strong price, thank you for listing those.
Alot of those shelbys were good buys. Congrats to the new owners.
Hope the softer prices are not a continuing trend
