68 Toploader Transmission Casting number location.
Hey guys
I did a search and I cant seem to find the location of the tranny casting number on a 68 shelby with a toploader. Going to look at one under a lift in a few days and it is supposed to be a fully matching drivetrain. Thanks

Are you trying to find the serial number or the transmission ID tag? The trans ID tag is located on the passenger side of the transmission. It should be a RUG-N, a RUG-S or a RUG-AE depending on which model you have. Thats a good place to start.

Main case, drivers side near top. Tailshaft is on side. 68 should have the C8 case not the C5. Might have partial VIN on top of drivers side upper mounting ear.
